Weddings & Celebrations Facebook Style

The news of Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan’s wedding is old news, but could it have been this change in status for the CEO of Facebook that made it possible for the new Weddings & Celebrations feature to unveil?

Quite a coincidence, but the important thing is that now you can skip the fancy engagement announcements because Facebook’s new feature will be the Bride-To-Be’s new Bestie!

Not only is it a step toward the green movement in wedding planning by X-ing out the waste of paper and cardstock, but it is also so much easier and instant! Now you are just a click away from letting your entire Facebook family know about your life changing moment just by editing your status and selecting the new “Engaged” option. Facebook will do all the foot work from there and so much more.

Your big news will appear on the upper right hand corner of the screen where you normally see birthdays and events. No more important news getting lost in the news feed! Plus it makes it that much easier for all your friends to congratulate you and to send out wedding announcements and details without doing all of the old tedious work, like Save the Dates. You can even make it special by uploading pictures.

So while you are scrolling through your Facebook account, be sure to check out how easy it is to have all your Facebook family “in the know” about your special moments!

Special Thanks to Brides.com for the heads up!
