Diamond Bridal Gallery In the 11th Annual Parade June 26

On June 26, the 11th annual Red, White & Blue Parade was held by the City of Citrus Heights.  Here at Diamond Bridal Gallery, we were a local sponsor, bringing some pizzaz to the show!  With the bridal luxury we brought to the event, it turned out especially glamorous.  The weather was just right, and the day was fun.  Lots of people turned out for the parade, crowding the sidewalk and streets.  Everything turned out perfectly!

There were over a hundred entries for the parade, but one of the best features was centered on a lovely princess in a beautiful white bridal dress complete with crown.  She sat inside an ornate, gold-cushioned white carriage, and was horse-drawn through the streets.  The unique and beautiful carriage was by Vintage Carriage Company.

The route for the entire parade started at 9:30 in the morning, and began on Upland Avenue, ending in the Sunrise Mall.  A little earlier, at 9 am, the featured event was the aerial skydiving display right in front of the Mall.  It went without a hitch.  Later on, the annual rotary pancake breakfast was celebrated, and a professional demonstration on a BMX bike occurred.  The carnival opened at 11 am.

To celebrate the patriotic spirit, red, white and blue dominated the event, with the princess in white and horseback riders in blue and red.  A large American flag was marched in the event, and there were an unending number of colorful floats as well as clowns and vintage cars.  It was a true family event with a lot of fun and excitement!
