DIAMOND BRIDAL GALLERY CROWNS “BRIDE OF THE YEAR 2009”

Sacramento, CA (March 26, 2010) —  Diamond Bridal Gallery of Granite Bay wrapped up its first annual “Bride of the Year” contest on March 11 by crowning three Sacramento brides at a festive ceremony held at the bridal shop.

The “Bride of the Year” contest welcomed entries from brides who bought their wedding dresses at Diamond Bridal Gallery in 2009. The eligible brides submitted their best wedding photos to the Diamond Bridal Gallery blog where they were posted and voted on by the brides’ friends, families and the general community. The three brides with the most votes won one of three prizes including a jewelry set valued at $200 from Jazzy Jewels, a $100 gift certificate from Piatti restaurant, and a Mary Kay cosmetics kit valued at $50.

The Bride of the Year 2009 first place award went to Milana, a journalism major and graduate of American River College. Yana and Margarita came in second and third, respectively.

 “Each of these new brides were the picture of bridal beauty and deserve the honors they’re enjoying tonight,” congratulated Diamond Bridal Gallery store manager Mary Gomes.

All three women were on hand at the March 11 ceremony where they were treated to food, drink, music and festivities provided by local wedding vendors: Hannibal’s Catering (food and beverage); Sweet Cake Box (dessert); Accent by Sage (floral arrangements); and Perfect Sound (d.j.). Wedding photographer Christa Cobb of Christa Cobb Photography was on hand to document the evening.
